At first I thought it was a prank, when the head of the White House Office of Public Engagement called me after reading something I wrote. While we were on the phone, I googled the White House and looked her up on the official website. Sure enough, she was the real deal. In my line of work, you never know who you’ll talk to next.
But the same is true if you are shopping around for a qualified writer or editor to support your latest special project. You aren’t sure who you’ll find, or whether they will be the right fit for your job.
