Decode Complex Messages for the Masses
Oftentimes I’ve worked with technical geniuses who are phenomenal at what they do. But when they need to explain it to a broader audience, they’re at a loss for words. Maybe you’re one of those technically-adept people who leaves ordinary people dazed, confused, and frustrated. They have no idea what you’re talking about, and that is an impediment to progress. You want to get your ideas across, without comprising their integrity or “dumbing them down” in a way that sacrifices accuracy and diminishes value. When you find yourself in that quandary, I totally get it…and I’m your guy.
When a rocket scientist from the former Soviet Union contacted me, I knew the job would be complicated. He was working in the United States, as a member of the World Academy of Science, Engineering, and Technology. He got in touch with me because he needed sophisticated technical data explained in layperson’s language. I had to convert his complex scientific explanations into wording that nontechnical folks could comprehend and appreciate. But I love a good challenge, and had fun decoding rocket science.
